Bookkeeper

Responsibilities: · Process bill payments weekly in Bill.
com · Journalize bi-weekly payroll · Allocate and journalize costs in accordance with CAPSEA’s cost allocation plan · Complete month end processing · Reconcile accounts including cash, prepaid expenses, etc.
· Generate monthly invoices to funders · Generate monthly financial reports for CAPSEA leadership and Board · Complete grant budget modifications as needed · Maintain database of donor names and addresses · Assist with completion of CAPSEA’s annual budget · Assist with grant reporting · Prepare 1099’s · Work collaboratively with CAPSEA consultants who provide CFO-level oversight and other services · Other duties as required Qualifications: · A degree or equivalent accounting experience · Nonprofit accounting experience · Knowledge of U.
S.
Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) · Excellent writing skills, math skills, and computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel.
· Experience with NetSuite software preferred · Knowledge of Uniform Guidance and indirect cost allocations · Knowledge of grants and determining allowable and unallowable costs · Ability to work independently · Must be able to obtain and maintain Act 33, Act 34 clearances and FBI fingerprint check Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
