Position Summary: The FP&A Intern will assist the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team in various tasks related to financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
This internship offers valuable hands-on experience in finance and provides an opportunity to learn about financial operations within AccuWeather Key Responsibilities: Support the FP&A team in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Help maintain financial models and databases used for budgeting, forecasting, and decision-making.
Assist in analyzing financial data and performance metrics to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
Participate in the forecasting and month-end processes by gathering data, preparing templates, and performing variance analysis.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect relevant information for financial analysis and reporting.
Contribute to ad hoc financial projects and analyses as assigned by the FP&A Manager.
Qualifications: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and draw meaningful conclusions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with financial modeling is a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
Proactive and self-motivated, with a desire to learn and grow in the field of finance.
Previous internship or coursework related to financial analysis or planning is preferred but not required.
Duration: This internship is expected to last for a duration of 3 months (June 2024 – August 2024), with the possibility of extension based on performance and business needs.
