JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Office of Budget and Finance is seeking an Indirect Cost Analyst (Accountant 5) within the Cost Analysis team.
The person in this position reviews, analyzes and recommends approval for all charge-out rate submissions and performs financial analyses to optimize the University’s cost recovery.
This position will report to the Cost Analysis Manager.
Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following: Review and perform cost analysis on charge-out rate submissions, including specialized service facilities.
Work with Financial Officers and departmental personnel to ensure proposals meet University and Federal costing guidelines and optimizes the University’s cost recovery.
Maintain up to date record of approved charge-out rates and dates.
Act as liaison between University and Federal/State agencies for audits, reviews and other matters.
Coordinate support services such as data gathering and compilation.
Assist in calculating aspects of the Facilities & Administrative (F&A) rate proposal.
Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus eight years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
This position offers a flexible work arrangement that combines remote and on-campus work.

Due to the financial and fiduciary responsibilities of this position, successful completion of a credit history check will be required in addition to standard background checks.

CAMPUS SECURITY CRIME STATISTICS: Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR).
The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
