JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Grants and Cost Share Coordinator provides oversight and coordination of College of Agricultural Sciences cost share requirements on external competitive awards across all units.
Position reports to the Assistant Director of Finance and Business Operations and works closely with the Office of Grants and Contracts as well as unit leaders to manage all aspects of the College's Cost Share obligations and ensure cost share is applied to the appropriate accounts in a timely manner.
This role is integral to ensure obligations are accurately reported and/or corrected in a timely manner to meet the different funding agencies' requirements and timeline.
· Implement cost share allocation strategies and processes within the college that comply with Sponsor, University and Federal policies and procedures.
· Maintain/Upgrade cost share database to review, track and allocate required cost share within the SIMBA (System for Integrated Management, Budgeting and Accounting) financial system.
· Create cost share analytics and metrics to aid strategic decision making.
· Budget planning, monitoring, and financial administration (including initiation and review of labor distribution) of all cost share accounts for the college in liaison with Office of Grants and Contracts and departments.
· Coordinate with research accounting for periodic reporting of cost share on grants.
· Oversee NIH Sal Cap process annually and provide training to Admin Staff.
· Support the Assistant Director with the completion of monthly and annual financial reports for federal capacity grants.
· Assist with auditing of federal capacity grants and processing/approving journal entries for corrections as needed.
· Provide periodic reports on Grant-in-Aid commitments and allocation.
· Serve as back-up to the Financial Manager of Labor Distribution, as needed.
· Monitor, analyze and resolve complex financial/research issues, which may involve dialog with University departments and external sponsors.
· Work closely with Office of Grants and Contracts and other units/central offices to reconcile complex cost share commitments involving various funding sources to ensure full compliance with University policies and internal controls.
· Provide support and training to department staff as needed.
Minimum requirements for this position include a Bachelor's Degree and 3 or more years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is:
$61,800.
