Our Bellefonte Branch is currently accepting applications for *full-time* *Child Care Staff to fill shifts in the Early Learning Program Monday-Friday between 6:30 AM and 6:00 PM.
*Staff will be responsible for the safety and well-being of the pre-school aged children enrolled in our program as well as providing an environment rich in activities and experiences to promote the development of each child.
*Primary Responsibilities*
* Maintain knowledge and understanding of PA Department of Human Services (DHS) regulations.
* Supervise all children and be physically present with the group of children in your care.
* When engaging children in activities, consider the needs of individual children with concern for their interests, special talents, individual style, and pace of learning.
* Assist with the development and implementation of developmentally appropriate curriculum.
* Interact and participate in games, activities, and special programs with children in a positive and enthusiastic manner.
* Assist in daily communication with parents.
* Utilize positive disciplinary methods including, but not limited to, redirection, positive reinforcement, proactive guidance, and if needed, appropriate time outs.
* Assist with the completion of any necessary administrative paperwork (i.
e.
meal counts, attendance, incident reports, supply requests, etc.
)
*Qualifications *(should meet ONE of these criteria)
* Bachelor's degree in education or human service field.
* Associate's degree in education or human service field plus 1 year of experience working with children totaling a minimum of 1250 hours.
* Bachelor's degree in a non-human service field plus 30 credits in education or human service field plus 2 years of experience working with children totaling a minimum of 2500 hours.
* Associate's degree in a non-human service field plus 30 credits in education or human service field plus 3 years of experience working with children totaling a minimum of 3750 hours.

50 per hour depending on level of education and experience.
