JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Bennett Family Child Care Center is seeking candidates committed to the process of creating and providing high quality learning environments for children and families.
Position is for a Float Teacher, supporting both infant/toddler and preschool classrooms and other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities include: • Supporting and maintaining high quality classroom standards in a laboratory setting • Coordinating and implementing an innovative curriculum model with a team of colleagues • Establishing and maintaining relationships of cooperation and respect with all co-workers, supervisors, and families • Maintaining standards in accordance with National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) accreditation and PA Keystone STARS 4 quality standards As a member of Penn State Human Resources, you will be joining a team of individuals who have the ambition to help Penn State succeed.

Typically requires an Associate’s degree or higher plus 2 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preference given to those with an Associate’s Degree or higher.
Degree in Human Development or Early Childhood Education preferred.
Previous work experience using the Environmental Rating Scale (ERS), Positive Behavior Support (PBS), and PA Early Learning Standards (ELS) highly desired.
Candidate must be flexible, interested in long term professional development, and communicate effectively.
This position requires the following clearances: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check, and the National Sex Offender Registry Clearance (NSOR).
A health physical with TB test is also required prior to starting the position.
CAMPUS SECURITY CRIME STATISTICS: Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR).
The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
