Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to attorneys and paralegals who are on site or remote;
- Prepare and draft legal documents and correspondence
- Maintain and organize hard copy and electronic legal files, documents and correspondence
- Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate appointments
- Assist with the preparation of legal materials and exhibits
- Proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness
- Handle incoming and outgoing communications, including phone calls, emails, and mail
- Perform data entry and maintain databases for legal case management systems
- Assist with project management tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a legal secretary or in a similar role preferred
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures preferred
- Proficient in using legal software such as MyCase, Lackner, Pacer, and navigating public dockets
- Familiarity with litigation processes and procedures is a plus
- Excellent proofreading skills with attention to detail
- Strong data entry skills utilizing multiple systemswith accuracy and speed
- Effective organizational and time management abilities
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
