JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Penn State Law in University Park is seeking a professional to fill the role of Admissions and Career Services Assistant (ACA).
The ACA will be seated in the office of admissions and serve as the first point of contact for prospective and admitted students calling, emailing, or visiting Penn State Law.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Arranging tours and visits to the law school Responding to general admissions inquiries by phone and email Reconciling expenses Assembling and mailing admissions packets Providing support for admissions events General office management, and performing other duties as needed The ACA will also have significant responsibility related to data maintenance including ensuring up-to-date and accurate updates of applicant and student statuses in multiple databases; uploading and transferring data between databases; creating and updating contact lists; de-duplicating records; creating and managing event registration lists; and deploying email communications.
The ACA will also provide support for the office of career services, including registering for annual memberships, assisting with event coordination including off-site events and the annual professional development conference, supporting the mentoring program, assisting with judicial clerkship applications, and posting jobs.
Education and Experience: The position typically requires a High School Diploma or higher level degree, plus a minimum of two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint, is strongly preferred.
Demonstrated experience and proficiency with databases or CRMS and/or Excel is required.

CAMPUS SECURITY CRIME STATISTICS: Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR).
The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
